Hey Pro’s, I have this periodical problem that arises occasionally when we seal New installations of white Carrera showers, which we will no longer do anymore.
Anyway, the customer has three newly installed Honed white Carrera bathrooms all with showers, floors, vanity tops & tub surround.
The customer claims they’ve been using that shower and those dark patches never appeared until after we sealed it.
There are no problems with dark patches in any of the other shower floors that we sealed.
I’ve gotten calls from customers many times to go look at Dark patches in newly installed White Carrera showers before their sealed.
I always tell them water trapped under the shower pan is normal...
The only difference is you can see it if it’s white Carrera or any other stone that turns dark when it gets wet.
We stripped the sealer off with Metholyn chloride at least so I can tell her see, its not the sealer.
How do you guys handle this and what do you tell your customers?
