Eddie,

Whenever you are dealing with lippage, you need to determine how aggressive
you want to get with the stone and not cause any major damage. Yes you can
use a resin diamond to remove lippage but it's to tale longer than if you
attack it with a metal bonded diamond. Whenever you are removing lippage
from travertine plan on opening up holes in the stone that are going to need
to be filled. Even with a resin 50 grit diamond on travertine you are going
to open hole and the more lippage you need to remove the more holes and the
large the holes will be.

A metal diamond will ciut the lippage quicker than the resin. I prefer the
lippage diamonds from StoneCare Central 50 & 100 grit metals than back to 50
grit resin then work your way up the grit that you plan on stopping at.
Obviously the grit you stop at depends upon if you are leaving the stone at
a honed finish or your going to polish it .

Once the lippage is removed I prefer to hone up to a 220 then fill with
Traverfil. Then hone 400 etc.

Depending upon the weight of your machine on the 50 grit metal you may want
to add some weight to speed up the lippage removal. This is the only time I
recommend adding weight to a machine. The rest of the time let your diamonds
doo the cutting.

Caution, removing lippage and filling holes take time, be sure to allow
enough time for the grinding and the filling.

If I can assist with any other information, please a let me know

> Eddie,

I'm not aware of any resin bond for lippage. We allways use metal in
different forms for the removal of lippage. Sorry, no short cuts there.
Good luck.
