Stephen,
Did one recently that had gone over 20 years without restoration. When
doing the demo/test I noticed that the white was more scratched than
the black and I needed a lower grit to restore the white, and in order
to get the depth of color on the black I had to go up to an 800 grit.
So basically in my case from 50, all the way up to 800 and then
polish. You may not have to go so low on the grits, depends on the
damage to the floor. How many sq ft?
Test an area.
Have Fun,
J. Palacio
