Yes over time it could have some impact but not so much the from the bleach
but what we don't know is what is in the cleaner. The light color could be
coming from the cleaning leaving a residue on the slate. have you tried to
clean it yet?

I looked at a job today that was a slate lobby with a laqucer on it. It was
just done 2 months ago the same as it is every year except now it is all
very light and breaking down in some areas. There are 2 runners that look
fine underneath and we called the guy that cleans to see what he uses and
all he could say was clorox and some green bottled detergent. Can bleach and
a cleaner break down laqcuer?
