Adam, The reason they turned gray is due to the acid in the polishing powders, black grout will normally turn a lighter color anytime you polish it with a polishing powder. Be sure to clean the grout line well during the polishing process. You will probably need to dye the grout line. Suggest using Grout Perfect John E.
