RE: [sccpartners] Marble floors with granite border. John Freitag 16 Feb 2011 12:28 EST
Kris, The only way the granite would have gotten scratched is if you honed the marble and got on the granite. if you just polished the marble and did no diamonding honing then it's impossible to scratch the granite with marble polishing powders Now my question is why did the granite have a coating on it? We the coating on the granite to cover up damages from pervious services? There is a reason the granited was coated and the marble was not coated. You are probably right the franchise was probably a new franchise that did not know what they were talking about. John E. I had a job that the granite had a coating on it. The granite was on the border. We did not realize there was a coating on the granite as there was not one on the marble. After the job the customer had Marblelife come in to look at the granite and the Marblelife franchise is only a few months old. They tried to tell the customer that the granite floor got scratched from our polishing process and that is not possible from all the years I have services these floors. I have never seen granite get damaged from marble polishing. What about you. Kris On 2/16/2011 9:14 AM, John Freitag wrote: > Kris, > > My process is different.
