Mike, I already tried that, the problem I am having is that I am removing texture in the same time as removing scratches. I need something to make the texture back into the stone. I am not that worry about recreating finish as of making the texture the same. At this point I think that I will probably end up buying those antiquing brushes unless somebody has different method or idea. You keep working them and as they load they will start to polish, a 400 grit will remove damage then bring to a high hone similar to most factory finishes. Does take some practice however. -----Original Message----- From: info@restoreyourtiles.com [mailto:info@restoreyourtiles.com] Sent: Sunday, February 20, 2011 1:25 AM To: Restoration and Maintenance Subject: RE: [sccpartners] Scratches on brushed travertine Mike, what is paper pade? Scratches are equivalent of 200 grit and there is about 6sq ft of the damaged area so I am planning on using Makita. Travertine is the material. I have 2 tiles to practice and I am looking for any ideas. Is there a way to do it with out spending fortune on brushes?
