RE: [sccpartners] Sealer John Freitag 07 May 2011 11:50 EDT

Jason,

You can seal but I would use StoneCare Central Solvent based sealer. the
solvent based sealer will penetrate deeper into the stone, where as the
water based sealer could be diluted by the moisture in the stone and not
allow the water based sealer to penetrate as deeply into the stone. no
matter what sealer you decide to use the stone will still breath but the
moisture will take a little longer to dry.

On a jobsite now finished a carrera restoration so if any can reply asap it
would be appreciated. Have moisture in stone around some grout lines. This
usually goes away with fans dehumidifier etc but I am wondering if I can
seal now. Will water base sealer make this harder to dry out or since it's
breathable will it not matter? 2 hr drive to return.

Thanks for ur input.

Jason
