Micah,

I would highly recommend staying away from a coating. Most coating are going
to be more slippery, plus the stone will not breath and you have another set
of problems.

I would recommend honing the stone with a 120 or 50 grit then seal with an
impregnating sealer. This will give you the best anti slip.

I have a client with 24 inch travertine outside, she feels like it is to
slick in the winter, any suggestions? She also wants some type of topical
sealer (I was thinking stoneloc) but wasn't sure it had anti slip properties
