Sounds like you are right on task! I haven't experienced any other methods that work better than diamond honing and polishing. For minor etching I carry SCC Marble Polish it has worked in a few cases.

I have a client with etching around the toilet from cleaner, has anyone had luck polishing minor etching with powder or do u allways have to diamond grind? If so what grits have worked? I'm just wondering if there is a quicker more affective way than 220, 400 polish for this type of repair/restoration
