Baird,
We have used both the monkey pads and the vortex pads. I personally like the vortex pads better. I can achieve really nice levels of honed or satin finishes especially on travertines and limestone.  In the set you get red dot (120/220) black dot (220/400) step 1,2 ,3 and the Lux pad. This is a great setup to have in the toolbox
