Hector, You are probably not going to ever remove the damage from what I see in this picture. It appears there are minerals pulled out of the surface and the more you hone the more minerals pull form the stone. I would attempt to fill the surface using the plexus UV repair kits or fill the pits with a flowing Akemi or similar product. Then hone it and polish it. What a pain in the back. 5 by 8 foot long island . I have a 10 master craft floor buffer. I have a samicha counter top machine. I have inter tool also. And been using a Makita grinder. This blue granite had very deep acid burn marks. I put 30 lbs on the buffer cut the marks and 20 on the Makita grinder. Looking for a better way to grind the granite, Hector Castillo -----Original Message----- From: list-manager@stoneandtilepros.simplelists.com [mailto:list-manager@stoneandtilepros.simplelists.com] On Behalf Of Chris Sent: Wednesday, August 13, 2014 11:10 AM To: Sccpartners Email Support Subject: Planetary polisher for counters I'm polishing another huge Calcutta marble island and counter with a hand machine. I used a floor machine once on a 2 inch thick marble island and it came out perfect and fast but I'm afraid to break this one as it's only 3CM. Does anybody have experience with the planetary machines out there for sale. I want to purchase one but would like to get some feedback first.
