On this job you should be able to hone 220, 400 then polish with 5X. in
areas that have bad damage then do a 120 grit, however if you need to start
with a 120 grit this means you have scratches or damage in the 50 to 120
range.
If the 5 X is not polishing for you there could be a couple of reason not
enough 5X powder , too much water with the 5X or if you have been honing
with a neutral cleaner ion you honing water you may still have neutral water
in your water tank. The other possibility you are not spending enough time
while your honing.

Taking it higher will produce better results as Mike says.
Calacatta is generally easy to polish
It polishes fast-you could be on something called calacatta but maybe
different.
Or maybe the lobby is just bet up and the lippage is messing you up a bit.
Really you shouldn't have to do 5x twice so something in your process may be
off.
Are you running the diamonds long enough?
You could try crystalizer but with white marble it can be tricky.
How much 5x are you using and for how long.
