Hi partners,

Contracted just sent me some pictures of 2 different tiles that were installed in 2 small bathrooms. Both are high end expensive black and white marble mosaics and they used epoxy grout. Attached are some pictures. The triangle pattern is polished and the basket weave is honed.
Apparently it was not protected after install and got scuffed up and very dirty. Homeowner is holding payment for this contractor. I’m going there Saturday to try to resolve.
My guess is there’s probably some epoxy grout haze on the honed material and I will need to remove that.
I have removed epoxy grout haze from porcelain tile but not marble. Any ideas?
He’s saying the scuff marks are light scratches but that also could be in the grout haze.
He said there is some lippage especially in the triangle pattern.
Unless I flatten the floor, I foresee some problems with picture framing if I get into diamonds or DIPs.
Anybody have some experience with these mosaics?
