I do a lot of repairs for a big stone supplier in the Northeast. This is a common problem. Granite with a lot of mica in it is not a practical choice in a kitchen. You can literally pull it out with your finger nails sometimes.
As a former fabricator I remember trying to do sink cutouts and edging with this material and we were constantly refilling the voids in areas where the mica fell out.
Tell them to replace it or live with it.

Antico) I believe, then he offered her another one at a discounted price, looking for information on how to help or is there anything that can be done. Thank you in advance
