Dayron,
When removing tack strips split the wood away from the tack strip using a
chisel or screw drive. Then use an angle grinder with a metal blade and cut
off the nail flush to the floor. the small remaining nail will not be seen
and there will be no hole in the floor to repair. if you use any type of
tool to try and remove the tack strip and the nail you will have Holes
From 1/4 inch to 3 inch depending upon how well the nail was fastened.
