Real carpet professionals used to charge extra and actually pre drill for tack nails in terrazzo ,test one in an inconspicuous place if it pulls easy with no damage ,life is good, if not I do this continually, using the method John just described ,I have never had any luck with drimmels on big jobs, angel grinders with a blade with a wide diamond edge, takes a steady hand, not to score the floor ,
But with a little practice ,I can do a whole average ranch house,1800 ft, in 21/2 to 3 hours
