Tony,
What type of diamonds did you use?
Treating the quartzite similar to granite normally works.
Not sure why you would want to repolish the porcelain but this also should respond similar to granite. I e done this successfully several times in the past. Should be no reason to use any low grit diamonds as I would just replace any damaged tiles, if possible.
Do a test to confirm the results and procedure. Call me to discuss if you need to.
